“export” radios

A rather honest discussion of some of the illegal activity that goes on all over the air waves. Of course we only scratch the surface, but we try our best at shining a light on the real reasons why people operate illegal, how it is obvious that the FCC is somehow a bit blind to some radios and not to others. and how to get people out of the illegal “closet” and into the fold so to speak.

  1. A lot of this prejudice comes from the fact the ham using this “export radio” was likely an “illegal cber” before they got licensed… and therefore may *still* be an illegal cber…. the guy gets a stigma of being a scumbag. Hams are supposed to be above any support of illegal operation. I’ve heard a lot of hams that work that way.. and they really are dirtbags :( Of course a lot of hams were cbers, legal and otherwise, and are great guys with no intention of ever illegally operating (again). I came from CB too… nice show.. love it :) 73
