Chinese(?) cheap icom replacement mic
So a few weeks ago my id800h died. I lost transmit audio and wrongfully assumed that the hm-133v mic was bad. Well, as I already said, I was wrong, it turns out the radio died not the mic. In the mean time I just took my aggression out on the old mic I guess
basically I removed the element for another project is all…
Today I got the new mic I ordered when I still thought the mic was the problem.
Here’s some pics :
pic 1 is the mics side by side,
pic 2 is the back side of the boards (case open), notice the cheaper (bigger) parts.
Pic 3 is the front of the boards, notice the bigger (cheaper) leds. Also notice the mic element on one is missing (already told you about that.)
And finally, pic 4 shows the back of the mics one assembled again. Notice both mics say icom on front as AND back and the new one says made in Japan on back… Interesting…
